Product Overview
The SCB12 is a high-efficiency general-purpose dry-type transformer positioned between SCB11 and SCB13, fully compliant with IEC international standards. It adopts vacuum epoxy resin casting and LV foil winding technology, with an optimized stepped-lap core structure that further reduces no-load loss and operating temperature rise compared to SCB11. Retaining all inherent dry-type advantages including flame retardancy, maintenance-free operation, low noise and strong grid adaptability, it is equipped with standard temperature control and optional cooling & protection devices. With approximately 5% lower no-load loss than SCB11, it offers a balanced efficiency upgrade for energy-conscious overseas commercial and industrial projects without stepping up to the premium SCB13 tier.

Core Exclusive Advantages
Higher Efficiency
No-load loss is lower than SCB11, further reducing standby energy consumption. For distribution scenarios with prolonged energized operation, the savings accumulate over the service years, delivering a lower total cost of ownership.
Proven Technology
Built on the SCB series' high-volume validated vacuum epoxy casting and LV foil winding platform, with stepped-lap core construction. The stable manufacturing process ensures high product consistency, low field failure rate and minimal maintenance burden after commissioning.
Lower Temperature Rise
With optimized magnetic circuit and winding structure, operating temperature rise is reduced and winding hot-spot temperature drops accordingly. Insulation aging slows down, design service life extends, and tolerance to short-time overloads and high ambient temperatures improves.
Best Value
Positioned between the economical SCB11 and the premium SCB13, it delivers meaningful efficiency gains at a moderate cost increment. It meets energy-saving targets without the SCB13 price premium, making it ideal for bulk procurement, efficiency retrofits and mid-tier overseas projects.

Product Application
- Applicable Scenarios: Commercial complexes, high-rise apartments, hotels, small-and-medium-sized manufacturing plants, indoor substations in industrial parks, and renewable energy supporting distribution such as solar and wind power.
- Typical Working Conditions: High daytime load with low night standby, frequent start-stop cycles, distinct peak-valley consumption patterns; the grid voltage and load fluctuate, requiring stable long-term transformer operation.
- Target Markets: Overseas turn-key and foreign-trade projects in the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa, especially mid-tier markets with energy-efficiency requirements but controlled procurement budgets.
- Recommended Project Types: Efficiency-upgrade retrofits with energy-saving targets, bulk-procurement infrastructure projects, routine equipment replacement, and commercial & industrial distribution projects seeking a balance between efficiency and cost.

FAQ
Q1: How to choose between SCB12, SCB11 and SCB13?
A: Choose SCB11 for budget priority; SCB12 when energy-saving targets exist but cost must be controlled; SCB13 for maximum efficiency and long-term high-load operation. SCB12 is the mid-tier option - better efficiency than SCB11, lower price than SCB13.
Q2: What energy efficiency level does SCB12 meet?
A: Its no-load loss is better than SCB11 and between SCB11 and SCB13, meeting IEC 60076-11 and related efficiency standards for medium-to-high efficiency dry-type transformers.
Q3: How to choose between Dyn11 and Yyn0?
A: Dyn11 offers stronger single-phase unbalanced load capability and better third-harmonic suppression, recommended for new distribution systems. Yyn0 suits retrofits of existing systems requiring direct neutral derivation with balanced loads.
