It consists primarily of an iron core made of silicon steel sheets and epoxy-cast coils; an insulating cylinder is placed between the high- and low-voltage coils to enhance electrical insulation, and the coils are supported and restrained by spacers, with all fasteners at component junctions featuring anti-loosening properties.
Structural characteristics:
(1) Solid insulation-encapsulated windings
(2) Non-encapsulated windings
Windings: Of the two windings, the one with the higher voltage is the high-voltage winding, and the one with the lower voltage is the low-voltage winding.
Regarding the relative positioning of the high- and low-voltage windings, arrangements can be classified as concentric or interleaved.
Concentric windings are simple and easy to manufacture; this structural configuration is the standard choice.
Interleaved windings are primarily used for special-purpose transformers.
