1. Intermediate-frequency transformers are characterized by high production volumes and low prices; the industry is export-oriented, with exports driving rapid growth. Currently, the industry-wide average price for intermediate-frequency transformers among Chinese electronics enterprises is 0.626 yuan per unit; however, the average ex-factory price for most companies ranges from 0.20 to 0.30 yuan per unit, with higher-end models priced around 1 yuan per unit.
2. There is robust market demand for power transformers. Power transformers are labor-intensive products primarily manufactured based on custom specifications. Strong demand in both domestic and international markets in recent years has made them a rapidly growing, high-demand product category. Notably, the market in India is projected to grow by 25%. Telecommunications, computers, and consumer electronics constitute the three primary markets, with growth in telecommunications demand acting as a major driver. Global annual demand for power transformers now exceeds US$10 billion, and the industry is trending toward surface-mount technology, high-power capabilities, and high-voltage applications.
If amorphous alloy transformers were to fully replace the new S9 series distribution transformers-for instance, based on an annual demand of 50 million kVA for 10kV-class distribution transformers-it would result in annual electricity savings of over 10 billion kWh. At the same time, this would yield significant environmental benefits by reducing the need for new power plants and lowering greenhouse gas emissions, thereby substantially mitigating direct environmental pollution and establishing these units as a genuine, next-generation green product. In summary, the widespread adoption of three-phase amorphous core distribution transformers during the development and upgrading of urban and rural power grids would ultimately deliver both energy-saving and environmental benefits.
